Outpatient Treatment

New Jersey Outpatient Treatment Program

Grace Abounds Recovery is a trauma-based therapy center and addiction treatment center located in Matawan, NJ. Our outpatient treatment program offers a supportive and structured environment designed to help individuals heal and grow from trauma-related issues and substance use disorders. Here at Grace Abounds Recovery, we understand that each person’s journey is unique, which is why our program is tailored to address a variety of therapeutic needs.

Our Approach

Our Outpatient Program Structure

Our outpatient treatment program meets 1 or 2 days a week at our New Jersey treatment center, with each session lasting for 3 hours. This allows us to provide intensive therapy in a way that fits into our clients’ lives, enabling them to continue with their daily responsibilities while receiving essential treatment. Our program is suitable for those on the journey to recovery from drug addiction, alcohol addiction, and dual diagnosis. The condensed structure of our outpatient program makes it easy to integrate as a step down from other levels of care, such as an inpatient rehab program or more intensive outpatient program.

How We Can Help

Benefits of Our Outpatient Treatment Program

Our New Jersey outpatient rehab center provides vital support for those in recovery. Here are a few of the ways our outpatient rehab program can help you maintain your sobriety:

Intensive Therapy Focus

Each session is structured to maximize therapeutic benefit, with a focus on healing from trauma. Our therapists are experienced in trauma-based therapy techniques and evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy. This allows us to provide personalized care to address each client's individual needs.

Flexibility

By offering sessions 1 or 2 days a week, clients can choose a schedule that works best for them. This flexibility allows individuals to attend therapy at our rehab facility while continuing to meet their other commitments.

Continuity of Care

Our structured program ensures that clients receive consistent therapy over a period of time, which is essential for healing and recovery. The 3-hour sessions allow for in-depth exploration of therapeutic topics and issues, promoting a deeper understanding and processing of trauma-related experiences.

Accessibility

Located in Matawan, NJ, our outpatient treatment facility is easily accessible to individuals in the surrounding areas. We aim to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their emotions and experiences.

Supportive Environment

Therapy Options in Our Outpatient Treatment Program in New Jersey

We focus on a new therapy topic at Grace Abounds Recovery each week. These topics are explored through both group and individual therapy sessions, ensuring that each participant has the opportunity to delve deeply into their personal healing process. Our New Jersey outpatient drug rehab program cycles through these topics every 6 weeks, creating a structured yet flexible framework that accommodates new clients while allowing existing clients to continuously explore and revisit these important themes.

Our Family Program

We understand that family support is crucial in the recovery process. Our family program includes a weekly group meeting with the client, facilitated by our experienced therapists. This program is built on a robust curriculum that addresses the unique challenges and dynamics of families affected by trauma. We are also developing structured education and presentations for family members to better understand our treatment options and how they can support their loved ones.

Family therapy sessions are available as needed, ensuring that family members can be involved in the recovery journey as much as they choose.

Aftercare Planning and Alumni Program

At Grace Abounds Recovery, our commitment to our clients extends beyond the completion of our outpatient care. We offer comprehensive aftercare planning to ensure continued success in recovery. Our open-door policy encourages clients to return to our drug rehab center and discuss their achievements and challenges with us, providing ongoing support as they navigate life after treatment.

Grace Abounds Recovery will be launching an extensive alumni program. This program will include regular follow-ups, retention initiatives, and continued recovery support for both clients and their families. Our goal is to create a meaningful community where alumni can find ongoing resources and connections that support their journey to long-term recovery and sobriety.

Our Approach

What Is The Importance Of Trauma-Based Outpatient Treatment?

Here at Grace Recovery, we utilize a trauma-informed approach in our outpatient addiction treatment program. Trauma-informed care is a therapeutic approach that recognizes and responds to the pervasive impact of trauma on an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being. This approach is grounded in an understanding of the profound effects that trauma can have on an individual’s life and aims to promote healing, recovery, and resilience.

  • Empowerment and Safety: Trauma-based care prioritizes creating a safe and empowering environment for individuals who have experienced trauma. This includes fostering a sense of physical, emotional, and psychological safety in therapeutic settings.
  • Understanding Trauma Responses: It helps professionals and caregivers understand the diverse ways that individuals may respond to trauma. This includes recognizing symptoms of trauma such as hypervigilance, dissociation, and avoidance, and responding to these symptoms with empathy and understanding.
  • Avoiding Re-traumatization: Trauma-informed care emphasizes practices that avoid re-traumatizing individuals who have already experienced significant trauma. This can include being sensitive to triggers, avoiding judgment, and promoting a sense of control and choice.
  • Holistic Approach: It takes into account the whole person, recognizing that trauma affects not just the mind, but also the body and spirit. Trauma-informed care integrates physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being into treatment plans.
  • Promotes Trust and Collaboration: By fostering trust and collaboration between clients and caregivers, trauma-based care encourages individuals to actively participate in their own healing process. This partnership is built on mutual respect, empathy, and understanding.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Trauma-informed care is culturally sensitive and acknowledges the impact of culture, race, ethnicity, and identity on an individual’s experience of trauma and recovery.
  • Focus on Resilience: It promotes resilience by helping individuals build on their strengths and resources, rather than focusing solely on deficits or pathology. This strengths-based approach supports individuals in developing coping strategies and skills to navigate challenges.
  • Long-term Healing: Trauma-informed care supports long-term healing and recovery, recognizing that the effects of trauma can be ongoing. It aims to equip individuals with the tools and support they need to continue their healing journey beyond formal treatment.
  • Improves Outcomes: Research has shown that trauma-informed care can lead to improved outcomes in mental health, substance use treatment, and other therapeutic interventions. It can reduce symptoms of trauma-related disorders and improve overall well-being.
  • Prevention: By addressing trauma in a supportive and comprehensive manner, trauma-informed care can help prevent the escalation of trauma-related issues and promote healthier communities.

Our recovery center employs a trauma-based approach throughout all of our levels of care, including our partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and program for co-occurring disorders.
